ENCC April winner: Aces for Autism
Aces for Autism was founded through the path of personal experiences with Kyle and Bobbie’s own son Samuel. Samuel was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism when he was 18 months old. They found they needed to drive several hours away to access resources at a development center for Autism in order to understand how to help Samuel. This led to them deciding to start a non-profit ministry in eastern NC to serve individuals and families impacted by autism. This is the basis of the development of Aces for Autism which now provides services for the individual and the families in the realms of behavior therapy, early intervention programs, classroom readiness programs, social skills groups, in-home therapy and parent coaching as well as school and community support.
