As a native of Greenville, Maria Concetta Mayo is proud to be a legal resource for her local community. With a focus on Social Security Disability claims and appeals, she has a passion for helping those who have suffered some type of disability. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in just three years, graduating cum laude. She was inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars as an undergraduate.

Maria then went on to pursue her Juris Doctor degree from University of North Carolina School of Law, graduating in 2016. During her time as a law student, she served as the President of the Carolina Law ACLU and notes editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology. Maria was also an UNC student Congresswoman and devoted 100+ hours of time to the UNC Pro Bono Program. This opportunity allowed her to provide legal services to those in need—free of charge.

Passion for Helping Others in the Local Community

Since 2014, she has been a valuable member of our team, starting her career with us a clerk. Now a part of the Ricci Law Firm, P.A. as an SSD attorney, Maria is further able to help those in need. She harnesses her legal skills and background to advocate for those seeking Social Security benefits.

Maria is exclusively dedicated to representing Social Security Disability clients. She will continue to demonstrate her passion for this area of law by heading up the firm’s federal court practice for SSD claimants.
