Angier, NC (December 6, 2020) – Around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, December 6, a child was killed in a pedestrian crash in Angier.
Police confirmed that the accident happened at a home along Massengill Pond Road near the area of Whittington Road. A vehicle struck a 2-year-old who was in their driveway at the time.
The child was forcefully struck by the vehicle and became unresponsive before paramedics arrived. The child was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the severity of the accident, the area was blocked for some time as the North Carolina State Highway Patrol cleared the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
