Ayden, NC (November 30, 2020) – Around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, November 29, a four-vehicle accident took place in Ayden.
According to the Ayden Police Department, the accident took place at the intersection of NC-11 and 3rd Street. The occurred when one vehicle turned across traffic from the wrong lane. This led to extensive damages to multiple vehicles.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those in need. Two people were taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment, though their current conditions are not yet known.
The accident brought down a set of traffic lights in the area, which led to police closing a portion of the road for some time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
