Benson, NC – Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Chicopee Rd

Benson, NC (October 18, 2020) – Around 11:30 p.m. on Friday night, October 16, a hit-and-run pedestrian accident took place in Benson.

Officers confirmed that the accident took place on 1402 Chicopee Road at the Gaines Mobile Home Park. They received reports about a man who was struck by a vehicle in the area. When they arrived, they found that a 43-year-old man was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle.

After police investigated, they found that the man was likely intentionally struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene of the accident.

Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident and transported the unidentified man to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Benson Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
