Bostic, NC (November 12, 2020) – Around 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, November 11, one person was killed in a Bostic pedestrian accident.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash took place when a vehicle was traveling west on US-74 near the intersection with East High Road. The vehicle collided with a pedestrian who was attempting to cross the road in the area.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police confirmed that the driver came to a stop on the right shoulder and cooperated with the police when they arrived. They were not injured and police have not released any charges as of yet.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
