Burlington, NC (November 21, 2020) – Officers from the Burlington Police Department reported that an employee sustained injuries when a vehicle crashed through their department building on the afternoon of Friday, November 20th.
Reports indicate that the car came crashing through the front doors at about 12:00 p.m.
At this point in their investigation, officers said they have reason to believe that the accident was deliberate.
Police have the suspect in custody but have declined to release their name. They were reportedly suffering from a mental health problem.
The current medical condition of the employee who was struck is also unknown at this time.
