Cameron, NC (November 11, 2020) – Around 6 a.m. on Wednesday morning, November 11, one person was killed in a fatal truck rollover accident in Cameron.
According to officials, the accident took place on NC-27 when a log truck, a pickup truck, and a passenger vehicle collided with one another for reasons that are still being investigated. The accident was so forceful that the log truck overturned as a result. This left logs and diesel spilled all over the road.
The driver of the log truck and the driver of the passenger vehicle, who have not yet been identified, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries. The unidentified driver of the pickup truck was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was closed for approximately two hours. Police diligently worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
