Cary, NC (August 22, 2020) – Around 10:15 p.m. on Friday night, August 21, one person was killed in a fatal collision in Cary.
According to authorities, the collision took place in the westbound lanes of I-40 around the area of North Harrison Avenue. Police did not confirm the circumstances leading up to the collision but have said that the accident involved several vehicles, which were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. They confirmed that one person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident and two others were seriously injured as a result. The parties have not yet been identified by police.
North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the collision.
