Chapel Hill, NC – Sinclair Larson Injured in Pedestrian Crash on E Franklin St

Chapel Hill, NC (November 11, 2020) – Around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, November 8, a female student was injured in a pedestrian crash in Chapel Hill.

Police confirmed that the accident took place on East Franklin Street in Chapel Hill. The student, identified as Sinclair Larson, was walking in a marked crosswalk at the University of North Carolina when she was struck by a passenger vehicle.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the collision where they found that the female was badly injured with broken ribs and facial fractures. She was hospitalized but was expected to recover.

The student’s dog was knocked up the road by the vehicle that struck them. He was taken to an emergency vet with a hole in his lung and blood in his abdomen but is also recovering.

The driver pulled over following the accident and has not been charged as a result.

The investigation into the accident continues at this time.
