Charlotte, NC – Car Accident at Central Ave and Eastway Dr

Charlotte, NC (December 12, 2020) – Around 1:55 p.m. on the afternoon of Saturday, December 12, a car accident with injuries occurred in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Central Avenue and Eastway Drive. Few details have been confirmed but it is believed that the vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. This led to extensive damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time until police cleared the scene.
