Charlotte, NC (August 20, 2020) – This afternoon, authorities were dispatched to the scene of a car accident at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to police, the collision took place at the intersection of East Morehead Street and South Kings Drive when two vehicles collided with one another. It is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time when the collision occurred. The vehicles involved were both severely damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The extent of the injuries is not yet known but it is believed that one or more victims were immediately taken to the hospital.
Police confirmed that a portion of the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
