Charlotte, NC – Car Accident at Johnston Rd and Porterfield Rd

Charlotte, NC (August 30, 2020) – Last evening, August 29, police responded to the scene of a car accident at an intersection in Charlotte.

Though few details have been released, the accident happened around 5:35 p.m. when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Johnston Road and Porterfield Road. The vehicles collided with one another for reasons that are not yet known and both were severely damaged.

Numerous responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were present at the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The injured victims were taken to a local area hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

The intersection was blocked in several lanes for a period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
