Charlotte, NC – Car Accident at Providence Rd and S Colonial Ave

Charlotte, NC (September 2, 2020) – Around 11:10 a.m. this morning, September 2, police responded to the scene of a car accident at a Charlotte intersection.

According to officials, the collision took place at the intersection of Providence Road and South Colonial Avenue when two vehicles collided with one another. Though few details have been released regarding the accident, it is believed that one of the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time as another vehicle.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. Though the full extent of the injuries is not yet known, it is believed that one or more victims were immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.

The intersection was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
