Charlotte, NC (October 12, 2020) – Around 8:20 a.m. on Monday morning, October 12, a car accident with injuries took place in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident was a hit-and-run collision that took place at 6030 East Independence Boulevard when two vehicles collided. One of the vehicles collided with the second and then fled the scene of the collision. It is not known if police were able to catch the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. They assisted those with injuries, though the extent of the injuries is not yet known. At least one or two victims were transported to the hospital.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
