Charlotte, NC (November 24, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening, November 24, a car accident took place in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place on North Tryon Street just north of University City Boulevard. The accident took place in the middle of the road when one vehicle sideswiped another. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident remains ongoing.
