Charlotte, NC (December 27, 2020) – Around 8:45 p.m. on Saturday night, December 26, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place when multiple vehicles collided at 8903 South Tryon Street. Police have not confirmed the exact circumstances leading up to the accident but have said the vehicles involved were badly damaged.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
