Charlotte, NC (December 19, 2020) – Around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, December 19, a car crash occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
Few details have been released but it is believed that the accident occurred when two or more vehicles collided at the intersection of Griffith Street and South Tryon Street. The vehicles involved in the accident were severely damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
