Charlotte, NC – Car Crash at Intersection of David Cox Rd and Merlot Ln

Charlotte, NC (November 8, 2020) – Around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, a car crash with injuries occurred in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of David Cox Road and Merlot Lane. Though police have not yet confirmed the circumstances leading up to the accident, it is believed that two vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. Wreckers were on the scene due to extensive damages in both vehicles.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized.

The intersection was blocked for a period of time due to the severity of the crash. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
