Charlotte, NC (December 31, 2020) – Around 5:32 a.m. on Thursday morning, December 31, a car crash with injuries occurred at a Charlotte intersection.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident involved two vehicles and took place at the intersection of Mallard Creek Road and Prosperity Church Road. According to police, the vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved were badly damaged due to the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
