Charlotte, NC (September 17, 2020) – Around 7:50 p.m. on Thursday, September 17, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Tryon Street and Periwinkle Hill Avenue for reasons that are not entirely known. The accident allegedly occurred when two vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. Both vehicles were badly damaged as a result.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
