Charlotte, NC – Car Crash on Rea Rd and Pineville-Matthews Rd

Charlotte, NC (December 14, 2020) – Around 7 p.m. on the evening of Monday, December 14, a car crash with injuries occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the crash took place at the intersection of Rea Road and Pineville-Matthews Road. Though few details have been released, it is believed that two or more vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. This led to immense damages in the involved vehicles.

Numerous responders, including fire crews and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The intersection was blocked in the area for some time until police were able to clear the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
