Charlotte, NC – Fatal Hit-and-Run at Sardis Rd Intersection

Charlotte, NC (November 16, 2020) – Around 6:40 p.m. on Monday evening, November 16, a fatal hit-and-run accident occurred at a Charlotte intersection.

According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Sardis Road and Coventry Row Court. Though few details have been released, it is believed that two vehicles collided at the intersection. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident but the other remained at the scene.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is not known if any parties were injured as a result.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
