Charlotte, NC – Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd

Charlotte, NC (September 8, 2020) – Around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 5, a fatal motorcycle crash took place on a roadway in Charlotte.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to the scene of the accident at 1300 Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road where they found that a Toyota Corolla and a Suzuki motorcycle collided with one another.

Paramedics and police found an unresponsive male lying in a yard close to the area of the intersection. The unresponsive male, identified as 29-year-old Travis Terrell Windley, was taken to a medical center where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was identified as 31-year-old Camilla Marie Clarke who was not injured in the crash but remained at the scene.

Police have since determined that the collision took place when Clarke was making a left turn onto Brookmere when the motorcycle collided with the vehicle.

The roadway was closed down in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
