Charlotte, NC – Firetruck Accident at Sharon Amity Rd and Central Ave

Charlotte, NC (December 9, 2020) – On Wednesday afternoon, December 9, a firetruck accident took place at an intersection in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the crash took place at the intersection of Sharon Amity Road and Central Avenue. A firetruck and a passenger vehicle entered the intersection at the same time, causing them to collide with one another. This led to extensive damages to the vehicles involved.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash. Paramedics were seen assisting one or more victims with their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for some time. Police urged those traveling through to avoid the area for some time.
