Charlotte, NC (September 3, 2020) – Around 7:40 a.m. this morning, September 3, a head-on collision took place in Charlotte.
Police confirmed that one person was injured as a result of the accident, which took place on I-77 and involved two vehicles. A quick response vehicle (QRV) and a passenger vehicle collided head-on with each other on the highway.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident. The paramedic inside the QRV was extricated by fire crews and then transported to the hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was checked out at the scene but is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time while police and other responders removed the vehicles from the scene.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol continues their investigation into the collision at this time.
