Charlotte, NC (August 30, 2020) – Last night, August 29, a hit-and-run accident took place at an intersection in Charlotte that led to injuries.
According to police, the accident took place around 9:05 p.m. when one vehicle collided with another at the intersection of North Church Street and West 26th Street. Police confirmed that one of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. It is not known if the police caught up with the other party at this time. The vehicle that remained at the scene was badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident and assisted those with injuries. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for some time until the police cleared the scene.
