Car Accidents in North Carolina
Within one year’s time, hundreds of thousands of car accidents happen in the state of North Carolina. In one recent year, in fact, approximately 119,000 people were injured in accidents in the state. Though these accidents happen for many reasons, a percentage of them happen due to hit-and-run drivers. When a driver flees the scene of an accident, they could be risking the lives of everybody on our roads. Drivers who engage in these illegal acts flee the scene without calling the police or checking on those involved. This means that an injured victim may not receive the care and attention needed to heal from serious injuries. If you have been harmed due to a hit-and-run accident, it is imperative that you have a skilled legal advocate on your side who has handled these claims in the past.
Drivers who flee the scene of an accident might be engaged in reckless acts at the time of the accident, prompting them to flee.
