Charlotte, NC (December 5, 2020) – Around 6:20 p.m. on Saturday evening, December 5, a hit-and-run accident took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the crash took place when two vehicles collided at the intersection of West Sugar Creek Road and Nevin Road. Police confirmed that one of the vehicles immediately fled the scene directly after. It is not known if the police caught the individual responsible for the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
