Charlotte, NC (September 2, 2020) – Around 11:15 p.m. last night, September 2, a hit-and-run accident took place in Charlotte.
Though few details have been released, it is believed that two vehicles collided at 6131 Corktree Court for reasons that are not yet entirely known. One of the involved vehicles then fled the scene of the accident. It is not known if police were able to catch the driver responsible for the crash.
Numerous emergency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they helped those with injuries. Though the extent of the injuries is not entirely known at this time, one or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. The conditions of those involved are not yet known.
Police confirmed that the roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing at this time.
