Charlotte, NC (September 25, 2020) – Around 1:20 p.m. on Friday afternoon, September 25, a hit-and-run accident took place on a roadway in Charlotte.
Though few details have been released, police confirmed that the collision took place at 601 East Independence Boulevard when two vehicles collided with each other. One of the vehicles involved in the accident immediately fled the scene of the collision and it is not known if police were able to catch the responsible driver.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. They assisted those who remained at the scene of the accident. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time until the police were able to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
