Charlotte, NC (November 17, 2020) – Around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday evening, November 17, a hit-and-run accident occurred on a roadway in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place at 1300 Sugar Creek Road when two vehicles collided due to unknown reasons. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident, leaving behind a second damaged vehicle. Police did not say if they caught the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.
