Charlotte, NC (November 8, 2020) – Around 7:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, November 8, a hit-and-run accident occurred on a highway in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place in the vicinity of 1764 West Brookshire Freeway when two vehicles collided with each other. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. Both vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were injured but their conditions are not yet known.
Police did not confirm if they were able to catch the driver responsible for the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the collision for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
