Charlotte, NC (October 28, 2020) – Around 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday evening, October 28, a hit-and-run accident took place in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at 2718 Monroe Road when two vehicles collided with one another for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. It is not known if police were able to catch the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision remains ongoing.
