Charlotte, NC (December 15, 2020) – Around 4:30 a.m. on the morning of Tuesday, December 15, a hit-and-run crash took place at a Charlotte intersection.
Though few details have been released concerning the accident, Charlotte officials confirmed that two vehicles initially collided at the intersection of Russell Avenue and Waddell Street. One of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident without checking on the other party. The vehicle that remained at the scene had extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims in the vehicle that stayed at the scene were injured. The injured parties were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was blocked in multiple lanes for a period of time.
