Charlotte, NC (December 20, 2020) – Around 12:55 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, December 20, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Idlewild Road and Cedarwild Road when two vehicles collided. Police stated that one of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident without stopping. It is not known if the responsible party was located by police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were injured and hospitalized. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
