Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash at Ikea Blvd and Brookside Ln

Charlotte, NC (November 15, 2020) – Around 5:55 p.m. on Sunday evening, November 15, a hit-and-run crash took place at a Charlotte intersection.

According to officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Ikea Boulevard and Brookside Lane. Police stated that two vehicles collided and the second vehicle fled the scene. The second vehicle that remained at the scene was badly damaged as a result of the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police did not say if they caught the driver who was responsible for the accident.

The roadway was blocked for an extended period of time until the police cleared the scene.

No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
