Charlotte, NC (October 18, 2020) – Around 3 a.m. on Sunday morning, October 18, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Moores Chapel Road and Leland Street when two vehicles forcefully collided. One of the vehicles involved in the accident immediately fled the scene. The vehicle that stayed behind was badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the accident where they assisted those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
