Charlotte, NC (November 29, 2020) – Around 5 p.m. on Sunday evening, November 29, a hit-and-run crash took place in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident occurred at the intersection of West Morehead Street and Wilkinson Boulevard. The accident happened when a hit-and-run driver struck another vehicle and then immediately fled the scene of the accident. Police did not say if they found the party responsible for the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
