Charlotte, NC (October 5, 2020) – Around 7:25 p.m. on Monday, October 5, a hit-and-run crash took place at a Charlotte intersection.
According to local authorities, the collision occurred at the intersection of North Josh Birmingham Parkway and Wilkinson Boulevard when two vehicles forcefully collided after entering the intersection at the same time. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help one or more victims inside the vehicle that remained at the scene. Their condition is not yet known but the injured victims were taken to the hospital.
Due to the severity of the collision, the roadway was closed down in multiple lanes for some time until the police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
