Charlotte, NC (December 2, 2020) – Around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of North Sharon Amity Road and Pierson Drive. According to police, the accident occurred when two vehicles collided at the intersection, one of which fled the scene of the accident. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. One or more injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time.
The investigation into the accident is currently ongoing at this time.
