Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash at N Tryon St and University City Blvd

Charlotte, NC (November 7, 2020) – Around 5:55 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, a hit-and-run crash occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the collision took place at the intersection of North Tryon Street and University City Boulevard when two vehicles collided with one another. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene of the accident. Police did not confirm if they were able to find the driver responsible.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized due to their injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection until the police were able to clear the scene.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues at this time.
