Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash on W Sugar Creek Rd

Charlotte, NC (December 10, 2020) – Around 1:50 p.m. on December 10, a hit-and-run crash took place on a roadway in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place between two vehicles at 3424 West Sugar Creek Road. The accident happened when the vehicles collided with each other and one of them fled the scene. Police have not yet confirmed if they caught the driver responsible for the accident. The vehicle that remained at the scene sustained severe damages.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their identities and conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
