Charlotte, NC (December 19, 2020) – Around 6:21 p.m. on the evening of Friday, December 18, a multi-vehicle collision occurred in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place on the Brookshire Freeway around the area of Church Street. Police have not yet confirmed the circumstances leading up to the accident but have said that multiple vehicles collided after one or more lost control.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries, though their conditions are not yet known.
Two lanes of traffic were blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
