Charlotte, NC (September 13, 2020) – Around 8 p.m. on Friday, September 11, one person was killed in a fatal collision in Charlotte.
Charlotte Police confirmed that the accident took place at 1000 Little Rock Road when a Ford and a Honda collided with one another.
Police confirmed that the unidentified driver of a Honda went around a curve in the roadway and collided with a Ford for reasons that are still being investigated. The accident caused extensive damage to both vehicles.
Officials confirmed that numerous responders were present at the scene. The adult driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Two children were passengers in the back of the Ford and were taken to a local hospital to be treated for their injuries. The driver of the Ford was also hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been provided but the investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
