Charlotte, NC (October 13, 2020) – Around 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning, October 13, a fatal vehicle collision took place in Charlotte.
Police confirmed that the accident took place on I-485 around the area of Steele Creek Boulevard and West Boulevard. It is believed that numerous vehicles were involved in the collision but police did not say how many.
Paramedics and other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash. One person, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The roadway was closed down in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
