Charlotte, NC (November 19, 2020) – Around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday morning, November 19, a serious car accident occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Mecklenburg County officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Moores Chapel Road and Moores Chapel Loop when two or more vehicles crashed into each other. Few details have been released regarding the circumstances of the accident but a power pole was snapped by one of the vehicles, which was sent off the side of the road. One of the vehicles was photographed completely on its side.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. One of the victim’s injuries were incredibly serious.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene for over an hour.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
