Charlotte, NC – Woman Killed in Fatal DUI Crash on Reagan Dr

Charlotte, NC (December 4, 2020) – On Tuesday, December 1, a woman was killed in a fatal DUI crash that took place on a roadway in Charlotte.

According to police, the collision took place on Reagan Drive. At the time, 44-year-old Malonda Caldron was driving toward the Crosswords apartment complex to visit her mother when her vehicle was struck from behind.

The driver of the other vehicle was identified as 62-year-old Anthony Ebron Jr. He never stopped before slamming into the vehicle forcefully.

Paramedics and other first responders were immediately called to the scene. They had to use the jaws of life to get Caldron and her 5-year-old son out of the vehicle. He was not injured but Caldron was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe trauma.

Ebron is now faced with various charges including felony death by motor vehicle, driving while impaired, and driving with a revoked license.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
