Denton, NC (August 19, 2020) – On Monday evening, August 17, two people lost their lives in a fatal collision in Denton.
According to Davidson County 911, the accident took place late last night when two vehicles collided on NC-109 in the Denton area. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol did not specify the exact location of the accident but the vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result of the collision.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident where they assisted those in need. Though it is not believed that any parties were injured, two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim’s identities are not yet known.
Police confirmed that a portion of the road was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
