Dunn, NC (September 10, 2020) – On Wednesday night, September 9, one person was seriously injured in a truck accident in Dunn.
Though few details have been released regarding the accident, police confirmed that a vehicle was parked in the left lane of traffic on I-95 without a driver. The driver of a semi-truck almost crashed into the vehicle but was able to avoid it. The driver of a Ford Fusion was behind the truck and was unable to stop from crashing into the truck, rear-ending it.
The Fusion collided with the truck around the area of the Jonesboro Road exit. The vehicle was left badly mangled as a result.
The driver was rescued from their vehicle and taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Their condition is not yet known.
At this time, the investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
